Hi All!
Just like it says in the Title, bought this from the Arcade on the Sea Front at Minehead a couple of years back, but I have never been happy with the distortion in the "DIY Chappie" saying "who Am I ?" (LIKE HE LIVES INSIDE A CRISP PACKET).
Seems to be quite a bit of a "BAD EARTHING HUMMING SOUND" as well as the distortion - maybe the two are linked?
In fact all the sounds that come from this Pin are greatly distorted compared to my Bram Stoker's Dracula, My Shadow, or any other of my Pins (no humming from them either)
This is the only Sega one I have can anyone point me in the direction of a cheap fix.
Thanks in advance!

Known problem, usually down to power supply - look Here

lots of places sell them if you don't want to roll your own. (except I cannot find any in the UK!) - so look here instead.

The hum is definitely known about, but there shouldn't be any distortion of the audio.

I would probably look at getting the hum sorted first then see if the distortion is still evident then go from there.

Also check that all the pcbs are secured down properly.
