Hi all,

I bought Powerstone and Capcom vs. SNK Millennium Fight 2000 and I want to buy an arcade cab to put them in. Which cabs were made for Sega Naomi boards?

Thanks for your time

- Chris

Well officially the Sega Universal or NET City cabinets I would guess.

But in fact you can run the JVS wiring for Naomi or Atomiswave on many many of the more modern & candy cabs, so just pick what exterior design takes your fancy the most I suppose.

Some say most official 'Naomi' cabs look like the back end of a bus, and I can't disagree on that.

But there is something rather nice about a chopped Japanese candy style Naomi cab (New Net City etc...):

Also consider other 31Khz candy cabs:

Taito Egret 3

Atomiswave SD / AWSD

Sega Blast City / VS City

Namco Cyberlead II / Excellena 2

Konami Windy II

etc..

Anywhere from very cheap to stupidly expensive?

I would guess Naomi Universals working in good condition are 400+, rising steadily depending on their overall condition and what monitor they have, what the internals are etc.. (this applies to any cab purchase of course!)

Both your carts there will run on a Naomi (1) motherboard, but there is also Naomi2 (darker blue case) for if you want to run games like Virtua Fighter 4.

Just making sure you are aware you'll need a full Naomi motherboard, sound amp, SUN PSU and stepdown transformer to run the carts you have pictured!

Blast Cities are likely around £800 and upwards now.

Egrets, AWSD and the others are rarer so are now crazy expensive, at least £1000+

Ha, just seen you're in Leam. Have a pint in the Benjamin Satchwell for me will you ;)
