[ukvac] (slighly OT ) Mame Graphics Card
Just reading a new board on mame cabs and thought I should get on with mine.

It says the best graphics card to use is a Trident Blade T64. The only source on the site seems to be in the States, does anyone know of a source in the UK.(I haven't been to a computer fair for ages so don't know if that is the best place). Also searched on ebay and can't find any.

Or, is there a better card?

Simon

Re: [ukvac] (slighly OT ) Mame Graphics Card
Hi,

Andy Warne was the best source for Trident Blade T64, but sadly they are
discontinued, however he is working on another more mainstream card, and
expect results soon (I won't tell, cause it will spoil the suprise).

Anyway keep an on eBayUK as I will be posting the best MAME cab that money
can buy, with a decent 4 player control panel, Stereo Sound, Dual Freq
monitor and such.

Regards

Andy

Well it depends on exactly how you want to use it... ie. Do you wish to
run Windows in full screen on it? Do you want to run games in the screen
sizes they were intended???... Hell there's a separate list for these kinda
questions its here:

The Trident Blade does NOT have hardware stretching and isn't everyone's
favourite choice... I prefer a voodoo 3 myself, only cos of the easy set-up
and complete range of screen modes (can't run Windows though, but surely
that's a good thing!)

Re: RE: [ukvac] (slighly OT ) Mame Graphics Card
I have always run mame using a pc monitor in an empty arcade cab. So I was happy using emuloader and mamew. Now I have a spare jamma cab was looking to set up a dedicated cab.( I haven't really read up on which mame version to use), so maybe I should read which version to use before selecting the hardware.

Its just I'm sat in work a bit bored and as the graphics card is the last thing I need I wondered what to use.

Looks like a Matrox G400 maybe the easiest to run. ( any one got any experience of this?)

As I have most actual PCB's that I now want I was only going to set this up for the games I can't find the pcb's for, so to save me doing this has anyone got any of the folowing pcb's for sale

Devil Fish
Check man
Mr Do's wildride
Guttang Gottang
The Speed Rumbler

(wierd selection I know but I have to have all the games that ever appeared in my local cafe)
