Hi,

I have been offered a 'SPACE INTRUDERS' upright.

Does anybody know anything about this machine ?

Has anybody got one in their collection ?

Thanks,

Gavin

Could be the one that came off the ship? 'Intruder' upright, a bootleg space invaders..

'Space Intruders' could also be a Game World/Video Games GmBh machine..

There were a number of bootlegs of space invaders that called themselves space intruders, so its a pretty generic name for something bootleg :)

Thanks PMAN,

I am going to see it tonight and a 'few other machines' that have been in a barn for over 20 years,
apparently.

I'll let you know if there is anything interesting.

A scandalous accusation... point fingers, go on... dare you... Could just be the pcb is mising altogether? if not, speak up!

Take a photo of the harness, I might have a pcb suitable to jam in there...

OK, just got back from having a look at the machine.

IT is an INTRUDER machine, like the one pictured in the DoL photos.

It appears complete, but the control panel and marquee brackets are rusty.

Apart from it being covered in 30 years of crap, the cabinet seems to be in remarkably good shape.

This machine has a Sega Enterprises Ltd i.d. tag with serial number on it on the rear.

Any ideas why this might be ?

Obviously, I bought it, along with a Bell Fruit Astro Fighter, which is also covered in crap, but again seems complete.

These machines have been owned by the operator I bought them off since new, apparently.

My cabaret was an official import into the UK by Sega Enterprises according to the plate on the back. I'm guessing these are all the same.

I also bought a Coney Island Pinball machine and thats about it for the video game / pin related stuff.

However, if you are into coin operated children's rides from the late 60's or early 70's he had about 15 of them in the shed along with a cake walk pusher, strength testers, love meters etc etc.

He also has 3 1930's 'electric cranes', which I believe are worth quite a lot of money and a similar later crane from i'd say the 1960's.
