I was very lucky to buy this of paul in Nottingham last year.
It goes well with my other cocktails and is a cracking game.
I had trouble getting the monitor fixed to begin with but luckily I have found someone local who is just Fab
So I've just started the process of stripping the cab this weekend so nothing to exciting to look at .
This is the 3rd restoration In my collection and I am really looking forward to this one as it's the only one in existence.
So here are the first pics

Corners off and I already have some others already chromed

Started stripping the veneer sides which is so tedious.

Original Perspex which is nice as these are really hard to find

Surprisingly a lot of plays in its life time

Will need to get this scanned and reprinted but I will keep the original underneath

So that's last night work will have another go tonight

All stripped down last night and off to the sand blaster and powder coater today

Steel tub full of rusty bits ..... Off to the powder coaters ..... Result, another gorgeous Nintendo cocktail saved from the scrapheap. Nice one mate. Can't wait to see it assembled

BTW George Riley had a 9.1 million - 7 hour marathon on DK3 last eve. Was pretty cool to watch, a lot going on and a very cool game!

I have a few of these cabs in my summer house. I'm eventually going to do a Mario Bros and maybe a DK to sell on.

Was using Jap ROMs, I don't know what the differences are but it's a bloody tough game and a huge score!

I found reheating the veneer with a iron last night extremely satisfying , where as the previous night I was getting frustrated as it was taking so long to come off and in bits only .
Last night it came of like butter

Sure
Chroming cost £5 a corner,but it was done with a load of British bike parts as a job lot last year .
To sand blast and powder coat that lot in the pic will coast me £70
