speccy +3 drivehead cleaning

Evening chaps - had a fun evening with a +3 I picked up earlier this week. I've replaced the belt on the drive (perished, as expected) and that now spins up a treat. However, the (only) game I've got is spinning up and turning the screen black before resetting the Speccy to the menu. It might be a knackered disk, but I was thinking about giving the head a clean as a last gasp. What would you recommend to clean without damaging? I've got cotton buds and isopropanol but my gut says "are you sure?"

That's exactly what I use to clean the head on my +3 so go for it dude! Just make sure you don't leave any remnants of cotton bud on the head itself when the cleaning is finished.

Thanks dude! Was worried about knocking the head out of whack or the cotton bud being too rough for such a delicate area?
