Spinner help...

For some reason my spinner isn't registering fast inputs. I'm using recalbox (retroarch) in combination with a baolian spinner. No matter what I adjust sensitivity too it doesn't seem to like fast inputs. Any suggestions will be gratefully received!

I have the same spinner and when I first got it it was too slow to play arksnoid etc. they upgraded it and I bought the new board for it which allows you to adjust the sensitivity via dip switches on the board, now it works great.

Which spinner board do you have, old or new?

I have the new one (v2), with dip switches. Ive just discovered that it works great for tempest but it doesn't recognise the much needed fast inputs to rescue me in Arkanoid!

I’ll check mine in the morning - it works great with arkanoid so at least you can sleep soundly knowing it can be resolved!

Here are my settings for Arkanoid, and also the info I found on original spinner settings so you can do the math - my spinner is set to 384 on the dipswitch.

Don't know if it matters but I am using Batocera, although the settings I change are within Mame so that shouldn't make a difference.

Gaaaah!
Now that I'm loading Arkanoid through MAME rather than FBNeo I'm unable to select Mouse as an option in the retroarch menu. Consequently I'm unable to use my spinner in MAME:

Have you tried setting it up in the mame tab menu - don’t think I bother going into retroarch but will check in the morning

As I said, I use batocera which is incredibly easy to setup so perhaps thats an option?

I'm running arkanoid through MAME 2003 plus. It sounds as though I may have to edit a config file. I'll do that and report back!

Okey doke - I use the latest mame and romset on mine, saves problems with incorrect sets etc.

Hello, I have the same spinner from Bealian as Spinner v2, but I can't get good game speeds under Recalbox and Retroarch. Who managed to configure it on this hardware?
