Hi,

Kind of a casual question really as i haven't done that much research, however multigame.com and pmans sites both list this as out of stock/NLA. Is anyone still doing these?

I know ages ago there was a page somewhere showing you how to merge rom images, use larger emproms and select the relevant address space using a dip switch or something but I don't have a programmer and am (at this point) too lazy to consider that option....

Cheers

Karl.

I believe Mark Spaeth was talking about doing another run of these - I'm pretty sure I mentioned it to him and his response implied he was going to knock some more up. Will try to clarify for you.

mspaeth makes those kits. Clay Cowgill did the earlier ones but Marks are far better.

These are indeed NLA. He hasn't responsed to the demand yet and made anymore.

These can still be bought from the Klov forums for people that had a spare. Expect to pay about $300.

Karl, I wouldn't hold out for another run of Marks kit. From what I've read he's sick and tired of dealing with a lot of sh*t from people either bugging him for this kit or others and just the general dealing with people who have problems who don't know there arse from their elbow. He lists these at $3000 on his site which I think gives you an idea of how keen he is not to make anymore. If you can get a 2nd hand one I'd rip there hand off. Think hens teeth :)

Dan

P.S I've got one in my Star Wars and it's fantastic (and not for sale)
P.P.S why do you need one anyway you have a Star Wars AND and ESB cab!

3K, yeah, I'll take the hint. It's a shame that there are so many whingers in the world who spend too much time writing to watchdog or equivalent expecting top notch customer support on 30 year old bits of kit :)

anyhow, as for the multicab situation i am getting pretty fed up with the ESB boardset, it's jinxed and never seems to run more than a few hours before something else gives out, including the slapstic! Anyhow, I suppose I could try to fix up one of my other dead boards and convert it, I must admit I have a couple of Tetris lying around solely for their slapstics. Problem is it'll take me ages to get round to something like that, plug (ish) and play sounded more fun.

Might be worth asking Pman if he can mention it to Mark. I think they have hooked up in the past and the batch they came to the UK came via Pman (all long gone). Other than that keep an eye on KLOV but prepare to be quick and pay $$$

I've just pinged Mark to ask if he's got any stock left and if not, what's the score on a new production run. kdoe - I'll PM you when I hear back in case he's got one or two so you don't get queue jumped :)

cheers

PS I love mine too :) I think I bought p-man's last one, or possibly the last one he could find. ISTR he thought he had two, but I don't know if he found records to show he'd sold the other or whether it's just hiding somewhere in his lair - might be worth tossing his gaff whilst he's in the States

.

Hope you find one,

OK. Spoke to Mark and he's not got any kits - currently

. He has however designed a new version which is part way through fabrication but still needs assembly, testing and possibly debugging so it's some time away.

The best way to keep up to date on when this will be released is to search for "Cambridge Arcade Repair" on Facebook and Like the group, or just follow this link (which I think should work). He'll post updates on there so you'll get a mail as soon as they're available.

cheers

tim

ps In case the link gets mangled, this is the URL for his product page. And a few free google plugs for him hopefully :)
