Land of the Jawas = teh rare. That Yak Face is also nice and worth a few quid. I have moved onto collecting AFA graded figures recently and have just picked up Yak face, Luke Stormtrooper, Boba Fett and an uncirculated IG-88.

Thanks for sharing!

A mate of mine told me about this AFA grading thing, they charge for them to 'grade' the item and then put it into a plastic box

what's the point of that then Jodo ?

Forgot to put this photo in all of the above,

The main thing is that AFA grading is recognised as the collectors benchmark for condition. They are very strict too. The boxes are nigh on UV resistant and also clear, which means you can enjoy the figure and view it from every angle still but it's colour and wear and tear is protected. The boxes are sealed so people can't a) pass off a lesser figure as an AFA graded one and b) you're not tempted to get it out and re-enact the battle of Hoth and "oh sh*t Han's arm just came off and my AFA grade is worthless"

awesome. I really like the AT-ST toy. My Han Solo (ESB) should be enjoying his retirement after 28 years, but now he's serving the next generation, riding around in the Ninky Nonky with Dana Scully and Iggle Piggle for company. Poor devil. Mind you, Dana Scully.. :)

Anyone remember Zoids?

Awesome collection there Russ but it makes me want to cry so bad!

I had most of these ships and stuff, all boxed like you have and a few others too like the Y-Wing, battle damaged X-Wing, Ewok Village are 3 that spring to mind. I also had the entire collection of figures, every single one, even every one of the last 15 or whatever it was they released.

I remember saying that I would never, ever sell them many times as a kid. I hung onto them until just before Christmas '88 when the temptation to get an Amiga was just too great.

I sold off everything I had, all my SW figures went for 10p each and the ships for like a £1 or £2 each in the local second hand shop. To add insult to injury I think they even taxed me for 30% commission on the proceeds.
smiley28.gif

I've often thought that was one of the stupidest things I ever did, if not the most. I also sold my boxed Spectrum 48k at the same time and all my massive collection of games for that too for peanuts.
smiley18.gif

It was great having an Amiga for about 2 years 88-90, but thinking about what I gave up to get it just makes me feel sick to the stomach.

I did have a sh*t load of Action Man stuff as well,Tank,Helicopter,Police Bike,Truck etc...loads of acessories as well and i sold the lot for around £12 around 83' to give me some spending money as we were going to Scarborough for the day,and to top it off i had all the cash plus a little extra from my paper round savings ina small camara carry case.I were playing Tron in 'Gilly's Amusements' and after the game was over i walked off leaving the small carry case on the side of the machine and didn't realise until around 10-15 mins later...needless to say it was gone

I do have loads of the newer 'Power Of The Force' stuff as well (started collecting that stuff in 95').When the Phantom Menace came out i collected loads of stuff from that film, figures, ships etc...but when The Clone Wars came out i only ever bought 1 figure from that film (can't remember what it was now ?) but when Revenge Of The Sith came out i collected loads of stuff from that film as well.

I haven't got any photos of the 'newer' stuff and tbh its far too much to be getting out of the loft to take photo's
smiley36.gif

I also have a few 'display' items that a few of the supermarkets had in eg...the large cardboard Deathstar that was on display to promote the Walkers Crisps 'Tazo' things. Also a full size cardboard Walkers Crisps 'crisp stand' as well

Man I can really appreciate that collection. I had most of the larger stuff, without boxes though and plenty of the figures as well.

My bother still has his imperial walker.
