Melt biro and use as a screw driver for Nintendo security screws.

Everyone knows this trick but has anyone actually tried it?

I tried it with a cartridge. Now all I've got is melted plastic that's completely encased the screw head and made it impossible to remove. Great.

Any other things you've read/ seen tutorials of and looks well easy but it's anything but?

There's loads of stuff that sounds simple but is not. Try fitting a motor to an RC plane. You need to have the tiny hands of a contortionist to get the mounting screws done up inside the thing.

desoldering.

when watching youtube tutorials on that, they make it look sooooo easy.

it wasn't until recently did i get a better hang of it. the corner ones still give me issues every now and then but nowhere near as they did before.
