I know its a bit stupid asking on here but does anyone own a subaru impreza or know about them?
Always wanted to own one since i was a kid and been thinking about buying one but i havent got a clue what to look for and what sort of prices to pay.. I really like the subaru turbo 2000s and the early 2000s wrx
Any help or info would be great :)

I've got 2001 bugeye wrx ,,, i see it as a toy really ,,it looks good , sounds good and is pretty fun to drive so i'd say definitely get one if you've wanted one for a while,,, plus you can mod the crap out of it if you feel the need ,

I very nearly bought an unmodded bugeye wrx estate last year. I'd say if you've wanted one since a kid then that itch isnt going to go away.

Do your research - i think pistonheads has a buyers guide and is probably a better place to ask on the forums ;)

Your best ally is patience, look at a few and wait for a good one.

Having said that when I was looking for a porsche 944 I did 2 years of saving and reasearch and then bought the first one I looked at.

Go and have a nose on PH as suggested above, and then, personally, I'd either by off the PH classifieds or try to find a freshly imported example for that genuine Jap feel!

I had a version 7 sti a few years ago,traded it for a evo 5,what a difference.
Just got rid of my evo 9 last year.
My advise dont do it
Buy and evo there much better and easier to mod. & eat scoobys/porches for breakfast.
My 9 would eat a gtr..
Uk models poss suffer more corrosion, but if u crash a import the insurance will pay less than a uk car,and i think insurance is better for uk models...forcefulfil2018-06-08 13:09:15

Scoobynet is also a great forum to check out ,,they also have a pretty good buy/sell section.
https://www.scoobynet.com/

As for buying an unmodded model ,,, it's very common that folks will mod the crap out of their car & then put it back to stock when they sell it ,, the main reason being that they will get a lot more money selling all the addons separate so it's still a lottery really ,,, although i had the same mind set as you and bought mine stock too ,then ended up spending loads of cash modding it ,,,Haha

There's just something about that boxer engine though - and I suppose I just have fond memories of the MY99 WRX STi my brother had, years back. Jap import, and it was ace.

I went a bit bonkers last time I bought a car - now I drive a C6 RS6 :O

You can fit a cab in the back of it though :D
