[ukvac] Tech Help required, is there anyone who can help ?....
Hi - I have a problem with an F3 cartridge, Bubble Symphony....
I've dismantled it, reseated the ROMS and drowned it in electrolitic
cleaner... still the same problem.... On the startup screen there are
a few pixels missing in the background, on the first screen with the
background of moving squares, all the squares have a few pixels
missing. On the screens where it shows you the dragons and their
skills some pixels are missing....On some of the static screens some
pixels blink !.

I normally get my PCBs fixed by Andreas, a friend of Tobias in
Germany but I just wondered if there was anyone out there in the UK
who could help ?. All my other F3 games are working fine so it isn't
a motherboard problem, so I guess that there is a ROM problem ?. Is
this a case of someone in the know identifying the ROM and "blowing"
it for me... (-:

If nobody can help I'll send it over to Tobias, but hopefully one of
you techie/engineerie/electronicie type peeps can help.....

Thanks,

Andy

It sounds like the problem is with the mask roms which contain the graphics and you can't really
blow a new one of them. On the other hand they are unlikely to go wrong so it's probably the
connection to the motherboard that has the problem. I'll happily take a look for you (mainly so I
can have a couple of go's on the real thing, I've only played the emulation :). I've got a Japanese
F3 motherboard.

Bryan

(Anyone got any F3 games for sale?)
