[ukvac] Tech: More Centipede
Firstly, let me thank everyone who responded to my original plea for help
about the tracker ball.

Thanks James for putting up the edge connector information. I was hoping to
run the board off a standard arcade power supply, but I see that it
needs -12v too. So, I guess I can use a PC supply instead. However this
leaves the +/-22v.

So, how has everyone else powered this board - and where can I buy a
suitable power supply?

Thanks

Alec

Actually you can get away without wiring these up. The 22v is for
storing the high scores. If you miss it out it will not remember your
high score after power off but otherwise it'll work normally. There's no
-12v. The only problem with centipede is the lack of an audio amp and
you can add one quite easily (I've got one wired into my jamma adapter)
or you can make do with rather quiet sound :-/

I already have an amplifier courtesy of Maplins which I use for my CPS2
boards, so that'll do nicely.

Time to give SUZO a ring...

Thanks again,

Alec
