Have decided i am very bored with arcade machines, never bother playing them, they just sit there gathering dust, so.... I need a new hobby!

Back in the mists of time i had a fantastic collection of old computers and consoles but my then girlfriend wanted the space for a nursery so i sold the lot (well, all except my Atari VCS PAL Heavy Sixer - that thing will go to the grave with me!)

I have decided that I want to start collecting again and realise that things have moved on a lot in terms of flash-carts etc so this time i hope to be able to play lots of stuff instead of just hoarding it.

For those of you who play games on the old computers and consoles, what are the best models of tv that you can recommend, screen sizes etc? Are the various rgb mods worth doing? Are lcds any good with the old consoles etc?

Any and all advice appreciated as always.

Just get on freegle/freecycle for an old 4:3 TV, see what you get offered and find the service menu to tune it, RGB is the best way to go if you can, but older devices never were so it depends on how much realism you want with doing output mods.
