Hi guys,
A while ago I mamed a broken (pcb beyond repair) SCI for a family member using a U-HID. It worked perfectly for quite a while then had a problem with the steering mechanism sticking (if anyone knows where to get NOS / repro parts for this please say), anyway I took it apart and resolved that but since I put it back together it never worked.
The 2 data pins are paired as quadrature.
Putting a voltmeter accross GND and data1 I get between 0 and 2v depending where the optical wheel is, but between GND and data2 i get 5v. If i disconnect the plug from the optical board, the data2 pin still reads 5v. Does this mean my U-HID is broken ? or is it supposed to be like this ?
I already tried moving the configuration accross to different pins and its the same. If I set the 2 pins as GND, they both (data1 and 2) read correctly GND.
