Hi All,

What type of monitor would get closest to replicating a colour vector? I know any alternative will still be a mile away but what's the best?

I'm after the equivalent of a 19" vector so am I right in thinking I could use the following:

21" vga crt monitor (just over 19" viewable)

19" crt tv

19" arcade monitor

19" lcd tv

19" lcd monitor

Thanks!

I would think the VGA CRT would be best, run at the highest res possible, with a bit of bloom effect added, maybe. Last time I looked, vector games on MAME didn't look so good. They look much better on AAE, but I think it's been abandonware for a long time, so no idea how accurate the emulation is compared to the latest MAME.

Or spend $$$$$$ and get the USB vector interface and a set of new vector monitor PCBs and convert a CRT to a real vector monitor?
But if you are not a millionaire then a PC CRT is probably your best bet as @big10p says!

I'll go option one when I win the lottery, in the meantime it'll be the pc crt!

Thanks both.
