Problem Whiny isolation transformer

It's not the end of the world but I've managed to silence the rest of my cab, and this guy won't shut up. Sound-proofing the base (Naomi cab) feels like overkill. Any ideas?

Is it the big sega step down ?
Is it copper wires resonating

Apparently not! The PSU fan seems to drown it out on my phone.

It's a slightly lower pitch than your average flyback or coil whine and constant. Some delicate percussive maintenance doesn't change it.

In pinball, noisy transformers can often be fixed with a big whack from a hammer. YMMV.

Never tried myself, but would be interesting to know if clamping the plates together helps.

How about some underlay just under the wooden board that the transformer sits on ?
