They're not bad mate... but they should be much better, some of the games run shyte

This why I can't understand why peeps don't use MAME, the bootup might not be instant but a stripped down XP is pretty damn fast, and runs most games sweet these days (a P4 3ghz can be picked up for £20/30 so is a lot cheaper as well).

For me:

MAME = hours of tinkering

Arcade SD board = hours of playing

MAME = a couple of hours (a few to be fair) to set up, = 1000's of full speed error free games.

Nah, I'd play two minutes of everything and want to check the settings and fiddle about with frame rates and the like. I suffer from 'too many games syndrome' in that when I have a big choice, I find it hard to concentrate on one game.

If you can be more disciplined and focused than me, then I agree it's a cheaper comparable alternative.
