With the summer looking like it is finally going to show itself it is time to get this Ms Pac Man back to gobbling ghosts. The artwork is too far gone, there is a chunk missing from the back, where it has no back door. It is also filthy and with a screen heavy on burn in. But....this is probably gonna be the last restore I get to do due to the way the market and the hobby is in general so I am hoping to make it a good one.

Been a huge headache. For one thing my left knuckle will never be the same again. But finally making progress. Will do a full blog when it's done. FYI, there's a reason people don't build stuff out of 40 year old wood.

Just to add, watching this one - it's one of the games I'd love to restore (given time and space), so be great to watch along as you bring yours back to spec.

It was almost finished but then disaster struck. I have had to strip a whole side back to wood and have some damage to other parts of the cab. I was distraught and wanted to set fire to the whole thing. But I have looked at it today and think I can salvage it and made a start filling and sanding the damage. I have never had a cab be this much trouble. But fingers crossed I can get it finished and then post the journey. I won't let it beat me.

We're back. The search for perfection is folly, but I have standards.

Anyone have an opinion on t-molding? Black, yellow, pink? I did a Simpsons with yellow and the bright colours actually really popped. So I learn towards those. Not as crazy as Todd over at TNT tho.

Starting to look like a Pac-Man and a good job to do on a rainy day. I know black is the standard, but to me Yellow is a no brainer.

I won't lie I have this massive urge to make this a Pac-Land using Art off Olly, as I am never seeing a dedicated Pac-Land over here. But at the moment she is still going to be a Ms Pac.

Can't get the controls to work due to a grounding issue. Seems the Mike's Arcade Jamma adaptor requires you to re-wire the common ground. Anyone who has any knowledge on this please let me know. Once I have it fully working I will post everything from the journey. But as you can see she is looking cosmetically a lot better. I am gonna leave the stencilling for now as I am just not mentally prepared for that....or financially. Only thing repro in the second pic is the Bezel.
