Good day everybody.

Despite that I am more of a lurker, I am happy that I finally have an account on ukVac.

As the title says, I live in the Netherlands and I have an interest in arcadegames, and mostly from the 90's.
I own just a few cabinets, but I am very satisfied with it.

Looking forward to browse through the forum, now that all threads are accessible for me.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum, what games do you own and what games do recall liking most from the 90s?
It might be a nostalgic thing, but the 90's was when I played videogames and pc games the most, and in the arcades were the likes of Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct and Daytona, also the pinball machines at that time were/are great.

For gaming I have a 19" vertical cabinet and a 25" horizontal (rotatable) cabinet with Game Elf and Pandora Box, which might not be perfect but a lot of games play fine, for me at least.
A stand-up racing cabinet with a PC and Mame/Model 3 racers on it, San Francisco Rush twin and Striker Xtreme pinball.
The pinball is addictive in a way I could never imagine now that I can play unlimited, it's great.

Hello and welcome! 👍

My eldest son has just moved to Rotterdam from the UK.

He mentioned the pinball/arcade game museum in Netherlands last time he went, one day I may visit
There are several arcades over here, in Zoetermeer there is the "Nationaal Videogame Museum", but I don't know for sure if there are pinball machines to play.
In Amsterdam there is "Blast Galaxy", I've never been there yet, but from what I've heard is the lineup of games good and a nice place to stay but I also am not sure if there are pinball machines.

About a year ago I went to Scheveningen/Den Haag and there is a nice arcade at the beach (Sir Winston Fun and Games), but to my surprise were there a lot of pinball machines to play at "De Pier".

Welcome! I'll be in the Netherlands in a few weeks time so will google the places you've mentioned. Staying in Rotterdam so the pinball place there is already ticked off and Efteling looks worth the trip. Any other places nearby worth visiting, non-pinball, to keep the wife happy?

Yes, Efteling is very nice.
Make sure that you be there on time if you want to attend the different attractions, as the park is quite vast.

Probably is the "Oude Haven" and the "Euromast" something that you both will enjoy in Rotterdam.
If the weather is good you can also visit the beach at "Scheveningen", and while being there go to "Sea Life", the family arcade next to it and a shopping mall, as these are placed near the beach:)

Welcome to UKVAC, I spend a lot of time in the Netherlands for work, in Houten next week and week after. The pinball museum in Rotterdam is pretty cool. Visiting Amsterdam in a couple of weeks time to stay with friends will have to look up the arcade there.

Houten is a short distance -13km- from Nieuwegein (Utrecht).
There is an arcade "Exclusive Games Luider" that I want to visit myself one of these days, they're open on fridays and saturdays from 13:00 - 22:00, costs 7,50 euro per hour.

Maybe an opportunity for you to visit.
