Hi all,

I've been looking for the small power supply board inside a Naomi driver that supplies DC to the sub woofer amp for quite some time over here: -

http://www.ukvac.com/forum/wtd-naomi-bits-virtua-racing-bits_topic388298.html

(They come in Crazy Taxis and Club Kart machines)

As I'm not having much luck I thought I'd measure the voltage that they run on to see if I can find a modern equivalent. As it happens, there's one in my Sega Rally machine to power the sub under the seat. It measures at 24.5v. So I assume I can just get 1 100v -> 24v AC-DC converter instead?

Something like this, maybe? (The speaker is 75 watts so with P=IV i guess 3 amps would be ok?)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403705378956

Any input would be great, please.

Many thanks,

Rob

Music watts have no relation to Power in watts for a power supply. You need to check the amplifier that is powering the speaker.

Ah, I see.

This board that I'm trying to power is the amp I believe. The wire to the sub comes directly from it. I can find no specification for it anywhere though. (Sega part no. 838-11651)

Did you miss that pinballaction said he has one?

No, I PMed. He's got a Naomi sub amp, not a Naomi sub amp power supply
