Thanks so I’ve checked r40 and r146 and they both measure 10.3 ohm so I assume this is correct. Not sure how to check poly caps and I’m guessing the orange one is one of them, are the blue and grey ones also poly caps?

Also I did notice my old fly back has an extra pin at the front and the new one didn’t is this important?

both resistors good
you turned the screen pot on flyback anti clockwise to minimum?

don't worry about that pin unless your new flyback had the long bit of wire and you cut it off

No I forgot to turn screen pot, I will do that then re check resistors, will that make a difference to the readings? I’ve not cut any wires off new fly back just didn’t have that extra pin, I guess maybe the extra pin was for stability on the old one. What setting do I put multi meter on for poly caps?

don't need to to re-read the resistors
you need a cap meter to read the poly caps, the two that are ever an issue are c101 4n7(sometimes 3n9) and c99 5n6

do the screen pot first, set to min and see if chassis remains on, then slowly adjust screen so you can see a picture

Will do the screen pot later and get back to you, thanks so much for your help

Ok so I think I’m in a better position, I reduced the screen pot to minimum, switched on then slowly increased the pot and the screen came to life, and seems stable now, I will try adding a video signal later, fingers crossed

Update: It’s working again, so I added my mame pc and it came on but the screen was far too bright and out of focus, with a bit of tweaking on the fly back I’m in business. Still needs a degauss but then again the screen has never been perfect since I’ve had it. Just glad to be back where I used to be with it, thanks again to all for your assistance. 😃
