Hi all, just sold my mk2 fully working and it just arrived with its new owner. However it’s now resetting and won’t play.
The test page is as per photo. Is this a case of something working loose in transit?
Thanks for any help on this.

Is your board one with the daughter rom board? Is there a pic of the full test screen once it checked everything as it looks like it can't see some of the graphics roms or the checksums are wrong. It would be worth checking the daughter board connections first

Hi, thanks for responding. No,it’s just the main board and a sound board. I’m assuming the red roms mean they aren’t being read or are faulty.
Prior to the cab being shipped, the test page was full of green roms.

I’m feeling bad for the buyer so trying to help.

Is it a case of re seating all connections?
Can the roms become loose during transit?

I’ve messaged you on pinballinfo with videos as I can’t upload them here, cheers Martyn.

My MKII board had a couple of reds come up on that same screen once, I reseated the roms it referred to and it worked again straight away so could be as simple as that....

The pic shows one with a fair few more reds than I had though, so I would suggest checking the connectors too, espcecially if this is the variant that has rom chips on a secondary board as well as on the main board... youll know by seeing a PCB half the size of the main board kinda folded onto the main PCB...

Great info thanks. It hasn’t got the separate rom board so I suspect the roms just need reseating

If its the single board version then that makes things slightly easier. Seems unlikely that that many roms would come loose, but worth checking. I would also check the power and edge connectors to the main board. And check the 5v voltage level at the board.

Can't remember if it was a MK I or MK II PCB but I saw a video about how they sometimes need a VERY specific voltage.

I think it was 5V exactly was needed.
