Pole Position - RAM 26 Error

Hi Folks,

Part way through an impromptu high score competition with the kids on Pole Position the car disappeared and I thought 'oh oh'. After a power cycle I now only get a blue background with the message 'RAM 26'.

After some quick googling, this appears to be a faulty ram chip (Secrets in the name I guess!) specifically a 2114 chip.

Question, I assume I can replace this myself (Not sure if its socketed, I've not looked yet) and is it possible to purchase the 2114 chips?

Not done any Pole Position but 2114 are indeed available. I doubt they will be socketed though.

Thanks for the feedback. I should have mentioned that the board has been previously repaired so I wondered if it might have been socketed in the past. If not I'll be sending it out for repair.

Think I might install a cooling fan in there going forward :-D
