Likelihood is it's lasting longer in between service intervals (if indeed it
really is!) exactly because of the reason you might think it wouldn't. Ie,
BECAUSE it's being left on day in, day out. Powering up and down doesn't do
them any favours.
It's a dilemma you always face with this hobby. Power on and leave on for a
few hours or just long enough to play your games and switch them off again?
There is no correct answer, the debate could go on for hours
What I do know is that once you've become proficient enough with repairing
them you won't care anymore and just do whatever you feel like at the time
'cause you won't be happy just playing them any more anyway!!
Stick with it, you'll get there...

PS: Has anyone seen inside this particular cab in the arcade in question?
Sure it doesn't have a PC inside it these days? LOL!
