Taito jungle king

I`ve just wired up a new edge connector for this board set and cannot get the game to coin up.
I`ve noticed that pin 10 on the edge connector says " coin lockout " and i`m thinking this is the reason why as it`s not connected to anything.

The game credits if i use the service switch.

i`ve not come across a coin lockout before and don't know how to connect it.

Have you made a Jamma adapter for this board?, if so as a temporary measure could you not put a jumper wire on the adapter board connecting pin 8 (Coin switch 1) to pin 11 (Service Switch) then when you coin up this will be actually pressing the service switch instead.

I use molex connectors on my 2 cabinets as all my game boards are non jamma.
I know i could wire the coin signal to the service position and get credit but thats not really the right thing to do.

I`ve only once before come across a game with a " coin lockout " on the edge connector pins and i never got that one working either.

I`ve tried grounding it and in desperation put +5v on it but still cannot get credit.

I believe the coin lockout wire goes to a coil on the coin mech which acts as an electro magnet and rejects any coins put in the coin mech when the cabinet is switched off.

There must be an easy way to get around this problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you very much glen the board now coins up by joining edge con pins 9 to k and then to +12v.
I will make a note of this for when i wire up my atari super bug pcb which has a similar coining up arrangement.
