Weird ebay encounter

Hello guys,
I recently bought an untested nentendo Vs board from ebay Italy. A few days passed and the package still wasn't shipped. I sent the seelr an daily message asking when is he going to post it and got no response at all.
Today an Italian guy whatsapp-ed me and ask me if I still buy PCBs and named a few (At first I thought that is a guy I bought boards from before). Between this few names there was the VS board that I bought from ebay. I asked him if he is the seller and said yes. I told him that I already bought that board and payed for and asked when is he going to ship it....no response back.
That dude tried to sell me that board twice? I have to wait a few more days until I can make a claim with ebay.
This is by far the weirdest encounter I ever had.

From what Ive heard the Italian mail system is a bit on the dodgy side, was a time when loads of packages were going missing, it was put down to the cosa nostro


Bit dodgy? Thoroughly bent!

I’ve never had any problems with Italian sellers ,but not to say there isn’t any dodgy ones

Though I did get offered a cab from USA that I had already bought .
It was about treble the price and I had already waited a year on it
I declined this kind offer lol

pretty sure I got a pcb of this guy couple weeks back ..

I got the jitters as nothing arrived …. Than days later
Got the obligatory pay £100 import tax to get your item . Even though it was a 60£ pcb from eBay plus 35€

I belived I was under the import duty threshold ..
pm if you want to share sellers details . I’m please to say that my item arrived but the prick don’t know how to wrapp pcb!
Caps had been knocked off the board but after a couple replacement caps I got a working pcb..

Pissed off as the usual crappy eBay buying experience of not wanting to send item back for a refund but just swallowing that I had received a damaged item ..

And it took my 3 weeks to get response from him ..
He just said I did mark this as a gift ?

But my package upon arrival did not have a customs slip attatched for me to even check the gift box .. ?

Most likely customs form was missing, thats why you had to pay. Tax people just assumed a big value and charged you for it.

I hope for the best.

I think they have good stuff but can’t sell it inside Italy for some reason ? Arcade collecting must be flat in Italy ?
My board is good and good price but Packing was awful !
I would buy again though if it wa something I wanted .. Just take a chance if price is right ..
He is slow
Packing bad ..
It’s A risk but A calculated one
