Well I wouldn't blame some, going off the contradictory marketing claims. There's probably folk out there who thought it had 68000 in it.

But ultimately if it's a bit like MiSTer in a nice case with with cartridge and peripheral support, backwards compatibility and SNK endorsement, that's pretty good for the money.
I do get how plastic cartridges with PCBs aren't so cheap either.

This is all good news to me. Still wondering if the MVS converters and flash cards will work? I’m now assuming so, but we will probably have to wait until launch to know for certain…

Hmm, TBH pretty much all those were answered or obvious anyway - he could have done a more meaningful selection - inside the thing; what games next; what about a blooming MVS version man...??!

Love that they have the manuals with all the games.

The only reason I can see that might stop converters working would be voltages as this is powered by USB-C i think. I believe originally they had issues on some of the 5v versions which wasn't an issue with the 9v variant of the original. I could also be talking complete bo!!ocks so who knows.....

Good change they'll work though.

He said in the video that old AES cartiges will work with the AES+ console, so no voltage barrier here I guess.

They've not been produced yet.

The company has stated on their website and now in their Q&A video that the games will work on original hardware.

im interested in how much power this uses. I have an OG AES whuch is 9v, which powers the furrtek adapter nicely. Heard a few stories of the adapter and some bootleg carts not working corre ctly wirh rhe 5v machines

Yeah true, if this somehow ends up meaning new arcade games for £70-£100 (even if having to use an AES>MVS adapter) then that'd just be the best thing about all this.
