Yeh thats fine and the best stuff IMO(Sewing machine oil that is) , BUT make sure its NOT a stepper motor :LOL: i know someone who did that and as you can imagine it aint end well ! lol.

Never use WD40 it actually cleans the bearing(s) more than lubricates. I used vegetable oil on many CPU/GPU fans in the past. Works well but you need a minimal amount and ensure you have something to stick the sticker back down with as they often never stick back down well and are essential for keeping the dust out.

How about a drop of electric shaver oil that seem a low viscosity?
I would Think its ok

But sewing machine oil is in john lewis for £3 ..
Sewing shops May vary but you might find it for £2

I went to a semestres/ Taylor with a little bottle and they gave it to me for free .. I offerd to pay but they just said they carry a large quantity for the machines só it’s negligable .

Actually might be value for money putting it in your car at the moment ;)
