Awesome work!

I'm in with the only deluxe cabinet in New Zealand (that I have seen in my 20 years of arcade trading, there might be one stored in a barn somewhere..)

If I can please be sent the ROM links it would be much appreciated :)

Great picture - that's a lovely cab and looks in amazing condition! Is it native to new Zealand or did you import it?

Have sent you the files.

Thanks for that!

Yes its in pretty decent shape, has some wear and tear. I gave it a big clean when it arrived, I still have to get some powder-coating done and change the old floor mat material etc.

Pretty sure the machine was NZ new back in the day and has been in storage for a large portion of its life due to the size

Cheers

Oh My Gaaaawd!

I hadn't even finished my "lazy Sunday morning" cuppa - ran down to the game cave and took this.

What a fantastic bit of work!

I've not been on here for a while - catching up on "old" posts...

I am still not as good as I should be at Afterburner. The replay burner videos are quite intimidating if you want to see the game one credited.

Rocomat - are you after the enhanced ROMs? I'll send them over later if so?

Ya, would be happy to get the roms, thanks!

I get into stage 5, but I'm not a pro player, I'm a technician. I'm happy when others have fun.

This deluxe came from the german North Sea near netherland border. Was not in use many years, full with dead spiders and cracked nuts from the mice. Thanks god they did not eat the cable isolation or other material. Overall in good shape, not many rust. As usual bad potentiometers.

I tuned the up/down movement. I had a view to the switches and potentiometer section for this movement, moved the gondola and heard to the click of the end-switch and saw the rubber bumpers at the bottom did not reach the end positions, there was a lot of space - time to get more fun during play... I took off the motor-wheel, then moved the gondola a little before the max up position, fixed it, and adjusted the end-switch, same to the down movement. Then calibrated and adjusted the potentiometer new. Now it moves much more then before :)

I wanted to take all our cats in my arms and let the dog stay near me. Would be a more funny picture.. perhaps next time. ;-)
