Hi everyone,

I watched an episode of Airwolf again recently and felt a wash of nostalgia - well as far as the opening credits anyway. Looking at KLOV there does seem to have been an arcade shooter based on the show. Has anyone played it? Is it any good?

It's terrible! Basically a poor man's Silkworm with a rendition of the TV theme I can only image was hammered out by a tone deaf monkey.

Plenty of videos on You Tube... or M*me.

Good place to leave it; the opening credits were amazing. Revisting the show as an adult is mostly painful unless it's approached as a drinking game.

I remember buying Airwolf for my Spectrum many years ago. Worst ten quid I ever spent. Contracting ebola would've been more enjoyable.

I had a worker which ended up as parts fodder. It's that bad.

You have some kind of white blur that occasionally responds to your stick waggling. The white blur then keeps exploding, at random.

If you don't want to download MAME to play it, you can accurately recreate the sensation by giving 50p to a mate and then have him poke you in the eye with a stick whilst mumbling a rendition of the theme tune in the style of a deaf and drunk mentally unstable tramp.

Oh dear, I think I won't bother looking for a PCB. While we're on the theme of retro micro games and their arcade cousins, does anyone know if there was an arcade equivalent of Ocean's Hunchback?

There was indeed, in fact the OCEAN game was a translation of the arcade game.

Hehehe. I need an occasional outlet for my vitriol otherwise it just bubbles up and over :)

Plus we know our members come here for more than arcade chat - I'm on later again tonight. Don't forget to tip your waitress and the steak is fresh in today!

Hi Guys,

I used to love Hunhcback. It was my first ever tape game on the 64. Before I got to afford a C2N I was playing the only cartridge game I owned, radar rat race, to death.

I might try and track a board down!
