Alien Extermination won't boot up

Hi, got one of these in the arcade that has given up on us. It had a new hard drive last year. Not sure if the 329Mb for the ram is a thing or not as bios registers that it has 2 slots with 256Mb in each. Any advice or a push in the right direction appreciated as I'm clueless with computers.

Bad RAM? Try cleaning/re-seating.

Yeh if there is 2 x rams remove both , cleans slots with IPA then fit just one and try to boot. If it does not boot swap it for the other to test each ram.

There is a possibility its the north / south bridge as well as this can cause this sort of issue , Only problem there is they are BGA. But on saying that it could be anything so its a matter of running through each thing.

Well your ram is obviously failing something, but I also suspect the bios battery may be dead or have been swapped due to it complaining about ACPI, so maybe a battery swap and a good go through all the pages of the bios defining settings.

Great guys, thanks, in the past when it was working it sometimes comes on and the guns wouldn't register and I'd need to go into test to recalibrate to get them back. This was before and after the hard drive change, so the PC and settings probably need a good look at.

I can supply you a new replacement computer, ssd, graphics card to drop in no problem if needed. With latest version v1.03. Fixed alot of these for people

Thanks, that was my initial thought, but I wondered if anyone could suggest the cause of the error? VGA i, I have not amended a anything since I purchased the cabinet last year, it has worked well since purchase.

As above i can supply new computer motherboard & graphics card systems with latest game software if needed. Proper systems, not emulation or multi game. I can also supply the recovery disks if required

Thank you - this might be the way to go for reliable future use I assume - how tricky is installation to get up and running again, I am at best of average skill set with IT matters, so is there support for the conversion to your kit, clear instructions etc that I am likely to be able to complete the change with? I appreciate your help!

New motherboard, graphics card and ssd with v1.03 preinstalled. Just swap out the parts in your current case. All pretty easy. Sold lots and helped many games keep going. Can send you a dm with costs
