uk politics is a seesaw of short term memories. my memory is long enough to remember thatcher, not stealing children, but starting the cascade of privatisation and deregulation that stripped the country of public assets for short-term financial gain, the legacy of which we're still stuck with.

politics is and always will be full of broken promises. the voice of the people/voters is rarely heard when the voting is over. whilst thatcher destroyed so many british things we must remember above all she was/is british. the biggest fear i have is that through wasting billions policing the middle east. we will take forever to get out of the recession. nato is a vast army, yet it seems to be the brits and spams who are fighting the battles. the middle east is a tinder box ready to ignite. the uk cannot afford to keep fighting wars on so many fronts. we must look to sort out our own country before we start trying to help others. it cannot be right that so many combat vets left maimed are now struggling to survive in civvy street, whilst we plough millions into foreign countries in the vain hope they will embrace our culture. britian it has been said, is a nation of shop keepers. not any more. the banking collapse was a joke, greedy bankers lining theyre own pockets, and then we have to bail them out, why ??? it was theyre own strategy that caused the collapse. i was working for a company that was getting de-regulised, even though we had a union we were told that if we didnt accept it then we would lose our superan/pensions. the union was a joke. the tories blamed the unions for bringing the country down, and set about dstroying them. never again would those famous words be heard, "everybody out" we must sit tight and stop wasting vast amounts on the war front. gone are the days when the specialist british forces were hired for wars, these days its expected to be a freeby. times are changing, for the better ??? all to often we lose great minds to other countries. if we could sort out our own, then maybe we could hold onto them instead of watching them leave for a better pay/lifestyle. we must look to ourselves as a way of sorting this country. if people such as the BNP ever get into power we will have a very lonely island. they seek to evict all non brits. i will end this on a quote from the BNP.

if a dog is born in a barn, it doesnt make it a horse.

cheers.
