Any idea where this panel is from?

I just picked up this panel nice and cheap, but I couldn't figure out where it's supposed to be from. It doesn't line up with anything here. It looks a little but like a Virtual On panel, but the stick (I presume) holes are too far apart and it has two start button slots.

*edit* I wonder if it might be for something like Machineguns of LA, but then covered by plastic?

That looks very SEGA candy cab / Naomi/Net City ... but I've been wrong before ...

Could it be a monkeyball, perhaps? Or does that have buttons?

Happs guns have same triangle layout with hole where cable goes from cab and gun holders have same layout as the 3 small holes so maybe custom panel for those
Indeed, I think it might be custom. None of the official Sega lightgun game panels I can think of have that layout.

I think I might fill in some of the holes and make a new panel for a trackball or something.

Seems a shame to change it

But having given it some thought ..

What’s the best angle and distance for a fixed light gun to a screen ?

Which is why Naomi light gun games had pedastalls or guns in long chords .

You're right, maybe I could offer it up as a trade first or something.
I already have a lightgun panel for mine, which I quite like, so I don't need another. And yeah, usually the screens are bigger and further back, so you just have to sort of gauge it the best you can
