I'm still rocking last year's HTC One X and I love it. Battery life is a bit meh though. Was hoping for a UKVAC app at some point?

So any other esteemed UKVAC members got an Android phone? Icecream Sandwich and Jellybean preferably?

I've got an S3 as well. Running Jelly Bean. Its got a good camera and a decent size screen.

The Google IO conference is this week, they might announce an upgrade to the Nexus4 as thats been out for a good while now.

TBH I'd like to try a pure android phone as the Sammy comes with lots of bloatware that you cannot delete (yes you can hide the icons) but I like to maximise battery life and not have all sorts of stuff running in the background that I don't use.

IMO the Samsung keyboard isn't as good as what's on IOS for correcting my typos and general use.

I really need to root the phone and mess about with it, but TBH I haven't got hours/days like I used to, just to burn messing about with a phone.

Picked up a windows phone a couple of months back. I've had a couple of different android phones and iPhones.
Personally I think android definitely wins by a mile. The lack of flash on the other two OS is a pain at times.

S2 and love it, does all I need and more, recommended from me, the only thing about android that bugs (on my nexus 7 too) is the lack fo being able to get under the hood on a lot of apps, and some like ebay etc lack features that you can access on a mac/pc. I dont like the way that apps kind of dumb down the experience.

I'm still rocking my Nokia 800 Windows 7.8 and loving it. Got an iPhone 5 from work and OK, it's got a lot more apps but I still prefer the Nokia. Had an HTC Sensation and it was fine for a while but battery life was appalling and after about 12 months it used to crash so often that it just wasn't funny. A factory reset possibly would have sorted it but frankly I figured if I was going to factory reset it then I may as well try a different factory

Not looked back, so no Android phone here any more.

The Mrs' HTC Desire is playing up all the time unless she's at home now too (not great for a "mobile") so will probably look at getting her a WinPhone when I can afford it too.

S3 here, love it to bits.
I can vouch for HTC's terrible battery life, I had a Desire HD prior to this, and I was lucky to get a day out of a full charge. Despite that, it was still a good phone.

I wanted to get a Windows phone as I like Nokia hardware but felt the restrictions made it too much like a iphone, maybe next time.

Like the look of the HTC One for media viewing and whatnot but can't afford, Xperia Play is my favourite for games playing, good phone too, love the new Xperia range and would be my choice for just a phone.
iPhone does nothing for me, iPads are great though.
The missus has the new Blackberry Z10 which is a beauty, nudged her towards this phone as I work in app development and wanted access to one
