asteroids adaptor question.

I am making an asteroids cabinet and i need 36 vAC and my question is, Can I Use an external transformer separate from main DC voltages? are both circuits sepparate or they need same "0"?

Yes, funnily enough I'm building a Asteroids test bench as I have two boards to test and have separate 2 x 18V AC drivers to power the video part of the board

I'm using one of these with a custom board I built myself - verified working with 2 x 18V AC output so one to the top and one to the bottom connector of the 36V AC on the board

MYRRA 44275 Isolation Transformer, EI 48, 10 VA, 1 x 230V, 2 x 18V, 278 mA, PCB MOUNTED 44xxx Series (bought from Farnell)
