It might help if I had a Defender cab, and im on the wat got £400 put aside this month i'll have £400 next month. If only I could get a sponsership deal.... lol

As for Red bull I'm gonna need a crate of it.

Have had a little go online at defenders its quite a hard game considering it was out the year I was born.

Yeah, can vouch for the Defender, had a 27 million in '82 ish, took just under 22 hours

Haha, quite a lot of the early 80's games were indeed "quite hard". Remember, the point was to extract as much £££ from each punter as possible, not going to do that with a game everyone can stay on for days are you

Really hope you get a chance to have a go at it though, be interesting to hear how you get on For myself I've played Defender since 1980 (with a 15 year gap) and I still can't break 100,000. Same with Asteroids, can't even break 75,000 since 1979. Admittedly I don't really try too hard tbh. I'd hate to get too good at any game I own, I don't tend to have hours and hours to play em, just the odd hour here or there!

You've really picked a couple of hardcore games for a WR attempt sasquatch!!, dont want to rain on the parade, but are you any good at these games to start with? ive got a couple of world records and am not a bad all round gamer, but there are many games out there that i have no flair for, and it seems inevitable that i will never break certain world records no matter how many hours i put in.

Have you considered going for Donkey Kong? if your gonna devote serious chunks of your life to a game, just for the record, as opposed to longstanding love of the game + record, its definitely been the fashionable one lately!

I were pretty good on Defender BITD (just over 6.000.000 in my heyday

) but haven't played an arcade Defender in donkeys years,saying that i haven't seen one in donkeys years in the flesh

...

I got my score at the Original Penny Arcade just off Eastgate if anyone knows Leeds.I were around 13 years old.This arcade did have a lot of black guys who went in there and i had a 2 player game with the 'best player' in there (the first to clock the machine).I beat there best player by at least 100,000

(that seemed to piss them off a little so i did one pretty sharpish and as good few black guys were quietly whispering to themselves and looking at me
