I have been having an issue with a holiday deposit refund which has now been sorted, not by the agency I had booked with, but by the kindness of the owner.
All I wanted to do was move the date and became a nightmare.
But I wanted to share that a companies are starting to alter the T&C's. This to me seems rather one sided and unreasonable. So if you get corona or say the country is in lockdown, you loose your deposit. If the owner gets coronoa and property is unavailable you lose your deposit.
At moment I dont feel comfy i booking holidays and will try and do some last minute ones.
12. Pandemic
From 24th of March 2020 all new bookings and bookings with amendments after this date (to previously existing bookings), have been agreed and made by the Hirer with knowledge of the existence of the global Coronavirus pandemic. The Agent and Owner will therefore not consider a refund or change of dates to any booking which is cancelled by the Hirer, as a result of disruption (of any nature) arising as a result of the pandemic, nor will they be liable for any refund if the Owner is unable to make the property available for the Hire Period as a result of disruption arising from the pandemic.
