Not played but seen it being played, run of the mill contra/metal slug hybrid.
I wouldnt be paying extortionate limted run mark ups, so PSN £13.99

Haven't got a PS4 yet. Just picking up Physical copies of games I want.

Say you pay for a game via PSN and your PS4 dies in the future, is there anyway to retrieve your games?

Games purchased on PSN will always be in your inventory list for ever, so just a case of re downloading the game in the future.

Thing is with limited run or strictly limited is all the games are from PSN, just they have put them to disk and then ask premium prices for a £5 ( mostly ) PSN game.
