Hey,

My NES has a blinking red light. I removed the 72 pin connector and gave it a clean and it worked again for a few minutes. When I switched it off and back on it started blinking red again.

Would replacing the 72 pin connector fix this issue?

Thanks

You can boil the connector it dident work on my one
Or bend the pins back manually
Replacement connectors are avaliable but i was told to steer clear from them as the quality is crap

The blinking light is the connector issue i think as contact cleaner fixes mine for a bit then im back to the blinking light again i havent got round to doing the bending the contacts fix yet

I tried bending them but I was cautious as I was worried I might break them. I saw the boiling method online but wasn't too comfortable in boiling something plastic lol. I might have to try bending the connectors again and see if that works and if that don't work I will have to replace it and see how that goes.

So I boiled the pin connector (25mins) and connected it back together. I was a but dubious if this was going to work but after a few wiggles of a game it actually worked. Everytime I put a different game in I have to remove it and then re-insert it. I think I will need to replace the pin connector eventually but at least I have it working for now.
