Be my second Brighton, bit crook this year with Achilles tendinitis which has borked my training but gonna give it a go anyway. Hoping for sub 3:45 with my dodgy leg.

I know what that's like I rolled my ankle a couple of time last year before last years marathon but did it anyway because my step daughter was running and needed the support, was not pleasant, but we got round.

Are you dressing as a banana Eric? And if not, why not!

people who carry any extra weight are completely nuts, well nuttier than those running normally

In Brighton, but have spent the week removing several tons of soil from my garden in preparation for my games room - I could just about run a bath right now!!

Good luck chaps, hope the weather is kind to you.

made it round in 4 hours and 6 minutes. lack of training due to on going achillies tendon problems cost me dearly making the last 12 miles pretty much white hot agony but I dug deep and made it.

Thsnks guys. Still annoyed that I've never managed to train properly for this distance. I'm currently telling myself never again but I'll have a think after I sort my achillies tendon.

Congrats Eric,

Was in brighton in the afternoon today and saw quite a few people limping up to the station.
Credit to you. I have a few friends that do marathons and know the amount of dedication it takes.
years of tennis and squash have taken their toll on my knees so its beyond me!

hobling this morning a bit. legs were only trained up for half marathon distance so pure mind over pain to finish this one. It was a fantastic day tho atmosphere was better than last year.
