i just recently bought an arcade machine :) now the machine had no jamma pcb game within it what will happen if i turn the machine on with no game inside????? i wish to turn it on to see if its working as its untested ..... so if i turn on the machine from the power supply will i cause any damage at all without a game inside?? as i dont wish to burn anything out

Assuming its a Jamma cab, that will be ok but don't be nearby when you do, untested usually means knackered. Put it on a switched extension lead so if anything happens you can switch it off quickly

also how do i replace or put on a new jamma harness ,any information would be grateful and helpful?? understanding the process and what colours go where and do what ??

thanks andy :) so you mean turn it on and stand well back lol when i turn it on what actually should happen and yes it is a jamma cabinet

Marquee lights up (if it has a light), coin slots light up (again if they have bulbs), monitor crackles and has static on the tube front, maybe an orange glow from the back but not always and you have light(s) on the psu. Click here for Jamma connections

you say assuming its a jamma cab its and arcade machine with a jamma harness inside ... was wondering what else could it be otherwise ???? i see the word jamma which i understand but what is pcb about??is this just the game board :)

i have jus connected my blue elf 2009 jamma pcb it cam on working and sound :) the only problem is i have no coin part working also no buttons or joystick controls also on my jammma harness there is one black cable not connected to the jamma harness any idea what this cable may go and what it may be connected too and is this part of my problem i guess i may have to trace it within the jamma cabinet ,any help on using the blue elf 2009 jamma pcb would be much appreciated thank you
