The science of shiny bananas
Hey everyone!
This October, my colleagues and I are heading to South Africa to give our time and energy to one of South Africa's poorest communities. We will be renovating a local school and orphanage, teaching local children, and generally undertaking any task that will help improve the lives of the wonderful people there.
This will be the first visit the charity has made to South Africa since 2019 when a group of volunteers from Foundation built a new Church, two new medical centres, repainted the Khaya Centre, created two creche rooms at a Meals on Wheels service and provided the first indoor water facility on site.
In order to do this I would really appreciate your help. To get there I need to raise a minimum of £1000 and once there the company I work for (Revolution Beauty) will add a further £1500 to cover the expenses and materials we need to get there and carry out this vital work. The Footprints Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation so every £1 really does make a difference.
Any donation you can make, large or small, will be really appreciated and in return I promise to go all in and give every ounce of my energy to ensure we make a real difference.
You can donate via my Just Giving page here.
Whether you can spare a few bob or not, please do take a look at the Footprint Foundation's homepage and you can see some of the amazing work they have done over the years and thanks for taking the time to read this. I'll use this thread when we go out in October to show you all what we manage to achieve.
Cheers,
Marcus.
