Totally unrelated to arcade machines of course but looking for advice on the following:

I am giving my daughter a car - a 2014 Hyundai i10 - the stereo is 'built-in' and doesn't have bluetooth, I play music by connecting my iPod classic via the USB socket and it works great, can navigate albums and playlists etc.

Unfortunately, modern kids being the way they are she doesn't want an iPod in the car, she wants to be able to stream from her phone, so does anyone know if it is possible to do so via one of those bluetooth adapters that plug into usb? She has an iPhone 13 so it doesn't have a headphone socket although the vehicle does have an AUX input which I guess is used for music.

She should just need to plug in the standard USB to Lightning lead for full control of the phone/music via the stereo.

A bluetooth connector may work but you will want one that does the controls via the radio as well.

I liked the old days when car audio was easy to replace, i put Pioneer systems in mine, double din dvd system with bluetooth, mp3, sat nav and standard din cd/bluetooth/mp3 in convertible and being later model it streams music through bluetooth as well, even tells you whats playing via YouTube on display

Later cars you can still swap out systems, just need a kit like here, everything plug n play now with iso connection. Recommend the Pioneer systems though, cheap, reliable, good sound and have everything you need if buy right models, dont understand all these people drive holding phone when you can have bluetooth in any car
