Just trying to gauge which is the correct way to connect this CPS2/CPS3 Adapter I acquired from Japan-arcade eBay seller to Jamma edge connector as I don’t want to ruin my CPS3 board.

Any help would be appreciated identifying the correct position.

Thanks

Kick harness does not connect to the Jamma connector usually, the way it’s designed to work is buttons 4,5,6 connect directly to a CPS2 or 3 board.

You need to check what your kick buttons are connected too, is that a cab or a supergun you are connecting the CPS3 to?

Thanks for the reply and your right the normal way would be connecting to CPS2/CPS3 with female quick disconnect buttons going to kick buttons.

However I believe this method wires the 4, 5 & 6 buttons to unused pins on Jamma edge connector.

I’m connecting this Ok Baby Jamma cabinet just cannot work out which is correct way? 😅

You will need to modify your wiring to use that adaptor.
Your loom has ground connected to pins 27 & e which the adaptor is using for two of the kick buttons. You will then have two permanently grounded kick buttons.

Thanks for the input and confirmed this device will not work with out modification like you mentioned.

I will look to obtain the original kick-harness as intended.
