Guys,
I recently picked up a great 28" B&O CRT tv which was a steal (not literally) and just round the corner from me.
It was "kept" in an outhouse over a rainy weekend prior to collection and I now have it in my (integral) garage.
It keeps cutting out when I switch it on and I figured this was probably as it got wet/damp when I collected it (as it was chucking it down) and I could hear a faint arcing noise from inside. So after ten minutes with the wife's hairdryer through the vents, it worked fine, or at least for the ten minutes I had it switched on.
Now, I'm back to it arcing and cutting out. So, is this likely to be unhappy in my garage? It's not heated per se but it never gets that cold as it is integral and houses the boiler etc, and it's where I have my cabs and they are all fine and happy.
I have still got my super friendly TV repair man if required but just thought I would ask?
