oh... just seen that it's ethernet and not WiFi. What's the best way at getting it hooked up to the router upstairs without a significant investment?

Seen these:

wifi would make it more expensive.. and much more complicated to hook up since we would have to code a setup-screen in the actual program code.

i did this: i got myself 4 rooter and i connect every machine that has a savekit to one of those. no need to configure the single cabs... and one investment for all machines in my basement.

after you enter a score the kit uploads it via router to the internet. it´s quite simple and fun cause we have a tournament mode in the kits, too. You can enter your name any time you play a game. And your score is uploaded any time, too. This is cool for people that are not able to reach the top 5 for example. They still have the chance to appear on the online scoreboard. :)

Will there be an upload version of the Time Pilot kit, and will you be doing other Konami boards like Circus Charlie?

I have to ask Jochen why we have no Upload-Version. My Time Pilot has upload. Maybe we just forgot to include the kit on the website.

Circus Charlie is on the list. We do need an original pcb though to test it.

Talked to Jochen. Circus Charlie is not that easy. The code is encrypted. That´s the reason why there is no savekit till now. Nothing is impossible. It would not be the first encrypted game we are doing a savekit for. :)

Jochen also told me that we have no upload version of Time Pilot ready for the market till today. We are in final testing though.

Hope this did answer some questions, guys! :)

Sorry, didn't mean to be a bit abrupt earlier but I was on my phone

Install will be a simple case of remove CPU, replace with daughterboard, stick CPU in daughterboard. Depending on the game you may have to increase the depth of any legs like I had to on Frogger but other than that it's easy. Double check everything against instructions though!

Regarding the high score table, the procedure is all a bit manual at the moment and this is one of the things that is being worked on. But right now you should receive a couple of "keys" with your kit, or shortly after. One of these (I forget which) is your score table ID. Both kits get entered into the setup menu in the game, one of the keys forms the end part of the URL for your score table.

Basically tell Jochen that you are a UKVAC member (and you wish your scores to be on the UKVAC table as well as your own) and after confirming with us he will add your key to the UKVAC list.

Like I say, it's all a little manual right now, but it's being worked on as we "speak"

Everyone need to fit these to their cabs, so easy to set up and Jochen is such a nice and helpful guy.

Definitely it will encourage you to play more and go for higher scores...

Smarty, Jochen said he played solidly after you beat his Centipede score to win the top spot back :)

Not back up to my pre-breakdown (the cab not me) scores on Asteroids but having plenty of fun building back up... 34K thus far... think old best was 57K.

Yeah getting an email saying my score had been beaten was quite amusing

I'll be back on the Centipede chase over my Christmas break, especially if I can get the cab in the house!
