Dedicated Server

I'm looking to hire a dedicated server, does anyone have any recommendations? I know places like 123-reg offer these, but interested to see what other providers are out there.

Currently I work for Rackspace, they're a great company ~ you pay a little extra for real top-of-the-line support though. Everyone there is trained really well... Depends really if you need that or not?

I've been with 1&1 for about 15 years.

I don't have a dedicated server myself, but their uptime has been close to 100% and on the very rare occasion I've had to speak to them, they've been both knowledgeable and very helpful.

I'm just using a Joomla! product, maybe I'm not ready for dedicated just yet.

There will be video uploading and streaming from the website.

Anyone have experience of VPS or Cloud servers?

I'm a software engineer and don't really get involved in the hardware side of things too much.

I'm currently in charge of the Dev AWS infrastructure for a European company with 6300 employees so I know a little about Cloud infrastructure and services

Where I work we sell VMware and HyperV VPS, we also sell Azure and SoftLayer VPS.

If you want a physical box then that's possible with SoftLayer.

ukvac is hosted on our HyperV VPS

Afraid I only work on their website, I don't know an awful lot about their products particularly... Sounds like their basic public cloud offering will be okay though?

Lists all the low end VPS providers. I use xensmart and have had no issues apart from planned maint.
