Digital Microscope for Soldering/Repairs

Can I get any recommendations for a digital scope for fine pitch/detailed repairs and soldering?

I have a magnifying glass cradle but would like something a bit better to really zoom in high definition preferable with a light.

Don’t want to spend more than £100 tops.

Microscope recommendations?

Kind of off topic as most components on PCBs are big enough not to need one but I do dabble with projects I could use one for. Not wanting to spend a fortune, digital seems to be the way to go, but there is a school of thought the traditional optical ones are better to use?

Think that budget might be a bit tight for something decent. I got a Tomlov one that cost about £300 but wanted one with autofocus and swing arm that attaches to the side of my workbench, rather than one with a small work plate thing on the base.

I've looked into this and using a Digital Microscope for soldering is difficult due to depth perception. Stereo microscopes are not cheap though.
edit: I just bit the bullet and went with a Stereo microscope

I haven't used mine yet for soldering, just a few other things. I figured it would be a bit tricky soldering from a 2D image. Mine has a bit of lag, too. Would just need to take things slowly, I guess. Mine does have split screen though, so you can view things a 2 different magnification levels, which I find useful.

I cant solder with mine either , I use it purely too look after I have reflowed a SMD chip or looking for bad traces ect.

Very good points. Not to brag but my eyes are one of the only things left on me that works properly! That and the old Johnson of course! 😂

I just ordered a dirt cheap magnifier off Amazon just to see what it’s like. I’d say I’d be primarily using it to check work rather than carrying out work ‘through’ the screen so it might be the ticket for now.

I have a couple of iffy 4 slots with trace rot issues and want to see which ones I should tackle first so this will help.

Today I Parted the Red Sea and turned water into wine.

I also tried to fix a 4 Slot MVS with battery track damage and failed ...................... Well you cant expect miracles ! lol

It’s not the batter thankfully. A few of the traces look to be compromised so I’ll try some jumpers from point to point and see what happens!
