So I was hoping to try out DK Pauline on my DK Jr cabinet.
Looking on the ROM labels I can't figure out what goes where..

Here's what I have.

Yeah but there's no eproms in 4m, 4n, 4r and 4s..
There are eproms in row 7 but not with those letters, they are 7c 7d 7e and 7f.

See pics above..

And what about 5H? There's a 3H..

I know I could just try.. but you know.. better safe than sorry

The ROM naming is from MAME and I assume it refers to the 3 board set rather than the later 2 board set.
Comparing the ROM names in the MAME driver it looks like they should be as follows:

background:
v_5h_b.bin ----- 3n
v_3pt.bin ----- 3p

sprites:
l_4m_b.bin ----- 7c
l_4n_b.bin ----- 7d
l_4r_b.bin ----- 7e
l_4s_b.bin ----- 7f

program:
c_5et_g.bin ----- 5e
c_5ct_g.bin ----- 5c
c_5bt_g.bin ----- 5b
c_5at_g.bin ----- 5a

According to the interwebbs the Brazington save kit seems to be the source of the palette issue.
I'll remove it tonight if I can find the time..

Hi,
i made a savekit with both versions DK and DK Pauline (switchable in the software main menu)

i combined the original DK graphics with the additional DK Pauline graphics (there were a lot of free slots for the pauline-graphics)

you just need to burn the new gfx-Roms at 3n,3p, 7c-f with the combined data and use our savekit.

more informations you can find here:

'odd question' time:

um, Pauline's eye.. is it 'see-through' ie. if she stands in front of a ladder, can the ladder be seen through her eye?
